Google has announced that its AI-powered note-taking app, NotebookLM, will now be included in the One AI Premium subscription. Users will gain access to NotebookLM Plus at no extra cost, benefiting from increased usage limits and premium features, such as the ability to customize AI responses.
Expanded Features and Accessibility
Originally introduced in 2023, NotebookLM was designed as an AI-driven tool for researching and organizing notes. Since then, Google has expanded its capabilities, adding interactive features like analyzing YouTube videos and transforming information into podcasts with two AI hosts users can engage with, as reported by The Verge.
Previously, NotebookLM was only available to businesses, schools, and organizations. Now, it is accessible through the One AI Premium subscription at no additional charge. Subscribers can take advantage of premium features, including enhanced response customization and higher limits on notebooks, requests, and audio reviews.
Subscription Plans and Availability
In December, Google introduced the NotebookLM Plus plan for enterprise customers. This version offers increased usage limits, advanced notebook-sharing settings, and the ability to track daily views.
The Google One AI Premium plan costs $20 per month, providing 2TB of storage along with access to Gemini Advanced models and Gemini integration with Workspace apps such as Gmail and Docs. Students over 18 in the US can subscribe for a discounted rate of $10 per month for one year, adds NIXSolutions.
