Google has begun rolling out Recap, a feature that curates your most vivid “memories” from the past year. This service compiles personalized statistics and presents them in a story format, making it easy to reflect on your highlights. Among the curated content, you can discover how many photos and videos you captured over the year.
Highlighting Smiles and Colors
Recap doesn’t stop at counting photos and videos. The app also analyzes the smiles in your photos, adding a fun layer of insight to your memories. Additionally, it highlights three of your favorite colors based on your most frequently captured scenes. For example, if your photos often feature the sky, forest, and snow, your top shades might be blue, green, and white.
Rolling Out Gradually
It’s important to note that the Recap stories are being introduced gradually, adds NIX Solutions. If you don’t see them in the Google Photos app right away, don’t worry. Give it a couple of days, and the feature should appear. Meanwhile, we’ll keep you updated on any additional changes or enhancements to this feature
